Back Wolves to keep clean sheet run going in our League One acca

| 15.03.2014

Look up form in the English dictionary ahead of this weekend’s football fixtures and there you will see a picture of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

That may not be true but Kenny Jackett’s Wolves are the very definition of the word at present after putting together a nine-game winning run in League One.

As such, the Midlands club form the basis of our third-tier accumulator this week, and with wins for Leyton Orient and MK Dons boosting the odds to over 11/1, a £10 stake on this trio could return a healthy £126.

And with Ladbrokes offering its One Out? Our Shout! promotion – where your stake is refunded if one result lets you down – why not add wins for Crawley and Tranmere for odds of over 117/1.

Wolves to beat Shrewsbury to nil @ Evens

League leaders Wolves have kept a remarkable seven clean sheets during their current streak and three of those have come on the bounce at home.

Jackett’s men have won their last five in front of a home crowd and will be confident having beaten the Shrews in their own back yard earlier this term.

Graham Turner’s relegation-threatened side have won just once in five away games and any hopes of staying in the division will surely be put hold until after their return from Molineux.

MK Dons to beat Peterborough @ 7/5

With seventh hosting sixth in this play-off battle there is clearly little to separate Karl Robinson’s Dons from the Posh.

However, the London Road entertainers have suffered something of a dip of late, losing their last two as the away side without scoring a goal.

The Dons have been equally tame in front of goal, failing to register in three of their last five at home.

However, while a timid affair is in the offing, we’re backing the Dons to make home advantage count against Darren Ferguson’s men.

Leyton Orient to beat Brentford @ 13/8

With both sides getting equal billing at 13/8 this is a game that will be decided by the tightest of margins.

Hosts Orient have won five of their last seven at home but will see that solid form put to the test against a Bees side that has lost just once in 23 games in the division – to league leaders Wolves.

Three draws in their last four away games will not fill Brentford fans with confidence as they make the trip to east London and with Mark Warburton’s side last winning at Brisbane Road in 1995 the hosts have to be backed here.
