Three best bets of Queens Park Rangers v Wigan Athletic

Published:

After a goalless stalemate in the north-west, QPR and Wigan head down to foggy London town with it all to play for and we’ve got three great bets for you to back tonight.

Harry Redknapp’s team are 5/4 for victory with the draw priced at 11/5 and a win for Wigan available at 12/5, but with so much on the line, why not plump for one of the following three banker bets of the night.

Both teams to score @ 10/11

QPR may be the favourites for victory tonight, but given the attacking talents possessed by both of these teams, we are predicting goals aplenty at Loftus Road later.

The Londoners have scored and conceded in each of their last four Championship fixtures at Loftus Road and with the Latics notching up four goals in their last two games on the road, it’s advised to back both to score in this one.

Charlie Austin to score and QPR to win @ 11/5

Should Harry Redknapp successfully guide Rangers back to the Premier League, then it will have much to do with the goals of Charlie Austin, who has hit form at the perfect time for the London club, having scored in three of their last four.

With 17 goals to his name so far this term, don’t be surprised to see the former Burnley man bag one in a win on the night for QPR.

Wigan to score 1st goal of second half @ 7/4

Uwe Rosler’s team certainly face an uphill struggle to reach Wembley having drawn a blank at the DW Stadium last week, but they’ve made a habit of coming to life in the second-half of late and it could pay dividends for the team and punters alike here.

Wigan have scored the first goal of the second half in three of their last four away games, for instance, and while QPR are likely to come flying out the blocks, the Latics may play the waiting game, making the prospects of a goal early in the second period a real prospect.
