Championship Acca: Ipswich and Norwich to impress

Published:

Ipswich and Norwich fans don’t agree on much but they must be united in their belief that their sides will pick up three points this weekend.

The Tractor Boys welcome an out of sorts Rotherham side to Portman Road while the Canaries travel to Blackpool unbeaten in seven Championship games.

The two sides form the basis of this week’s Championship accumulator and when placed alongside wins for Leeds, Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth offer whopping odds of 49/1.

Ipswich to beat Rotherham @ 19/20

Mick McCarthy’s side have now won three on the bounce and have lost just one of their last nine at home. The Tractor Boys will be confident of making it four wins on the spin against a Rotherham side with no wins in five and just one victory from seven games on the road.

Norwich to beat Blackpool @ 7/10

The Canaries lost in the cup in midweek but after making 10 changes will be well rested for this trip to the seaside. Norwich have won five of their last six away games while Blackpool have lost seven of eight at home! Banker territory.

Leeds to beat Brentford @ 13/5

After decent wins against Bournemouth and Huddersfield Leeds are a cracking price to beat a Brentford side that has shipped seven and scored none in its last two games. With a new manager to impress the visitors look set to pick up a fourth win in five games.

Nottingham Forest to beat Brighton @ evens

Table toppers Forest are unbeaten in the league so far, winning five of their eight Championship outings. Stuart Pearce will expect that run to continue against a Seagulls outfit that has lost four of five on the road.

AFC Bournemouth to beat Wigan @ 11/10

For all the supposed struggles at Bournemouth the Cherries have lost just one of their last six games. Eddie Howe’s men were much the better side in the 1-1 draw with Watford and outplayed Cardiff to win 3-0 in midweek. With Wigan winning one of 10 away from the DW Stadium a repeat of Bournemouth’s home win last year looks on the cards.
