League One accumulator: Preston picked to continue promotion push
Published:Two of last year’s shining stars in League One, Leyton Orient and Preston, feature in this week’s acca from the English third tier.
But with one continuing to shine bright and the other struggling, it’s North End who get our support with the Londoners opposed.

Orient have enjoyed a couple of decent seasons in League One without securing that cherished promotion, but have struggled so far this campaign. They have lost their last four at home and will be missing influential midfield Jobi McAnuff through suspension.
Meanwhile, MK Dons have won three of their last four on the road, and have netted at least two goals in five of their last six trips away from their Buckinghamshire home.
Like Leyton Orient, Preston saw their season crumble in the play-offs last season, but unlike their rivals they are a club are challenging the principles once again this campaign.
They have won their last four, showing decent form in front of goal, scoring 11 goals in that time.
They should have more than enough to see off a Port Vale side that have lost four of their last five on the road this campaign.
Doncaster are having somewhat of a mini revival of late, having started off the season in a terrible fashion. Comfortable wins against Chesterfield and League Two promotion challengers Burton will only inspire confidence for Paul Dickov’s side.
Striker Curtis Main could make a long awaited return, and may be a key player at Highbury Stadium.
Opponents Fleetwood have just one victory to their name in their last 10, that coming with a late penalty against Port Vale, and simply have to be taken on.
High-flying Swindon may have suffered a set-back last week in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, but with four straight wins on the road before that, have to be backed for victory over Yeovil.
Gary Johnson has stated that he plans ‘radical changes’ to his side after they suffered a third straight defeat against Port Vale last week, but even that doesn’t convince us that the side in the bottom four will avoid another loss.
