Southampton v Stoke: In-form Pelle can land the spoils once again

Published:

Stoke are one of the in-form sides in the country after just one defeat in their last five matches but they face possibly the biggest test in the Premier League at the moment – a trip to St Mary’s to face Southampton.

The Saints are unbeaten at home so far this season with three wins and one draw, featuring 14 goals for and just one against in four matches.

Ronald Koeman’s men are rightly the 3/5 favourites for all three points but Stoke should put up a better fight than Sunderland did last weekend and are 5/1 for the win with the draw available at 14/5.

But with none of those markets appealing to the Ladbrokes News team, Oliver Yew has come up with his three best bets for the Saints against the Black Cats.

Both teams to score @ Evens

Our banker for the action at St Mary’s comes in the goal market with both teams to score a certainty when Stoke City travel to the south coast.

In the Saints’ last four Premier League clashes with the Potters both sides have found the net and we can look back even further with goals at both ends coming in the last seven meetings between the two sides.

Southampton win and both teams to score @ 13/5

Can anyone stop Southampton at home? Ronald Koeman’s men are firing on all cylinders in front of their home fans with only West Brom on the opening day of the season taking a point away from the south coast.

Newcastle, QPR and Sunderland have all been on the end of the Saints’ attacking force and we are backing them to fire once again against a Stoke side that lost to the Black Cats in their last away league match.

But Mark Hughes’ side have been in some decent form in recent weeks and we are backing them for a goal in what we think will be a Southampton win.

Graziano Pelle to score anytime @ 11/10

This is becoming quite a common theme in our best bets featuring Southampton but why should we stop backing a good thing?

Pelle has been on fire in recent weeks and he is not letting his Player of the Month for September award drag him down after firing two goals in his side’s eight goal demolition against Sunderland to help land our Evens anytime bet last week.
