Villa’s Benteke the subject of first goalscorer price boost!

Aston Villa have turned a corner in recent weeks and the sight of their top scorer of the last two seasons finally hitting the net after injury, will have filled Villans fans full of festive cheer.
That strike against Crystal Palace was Christian Benteke’s first of the campaign since returning to the fold in early October and crucially sealed a first Premier League win in 10 games.
It was also Benteke’s 30th in the top-flight and now the Belgian star is back among the goals there should be no stopping him.
With this in mind, Ladbrokes customers could well be the next to benefit from a return to form for Villa’s centre-forward.
The bookmakers have boosted Benteke’s odds to score the first goal of the game against bottom-placed Leicester, from 9/2 out to 11/2.
The Foxes arrive at Villa Park for the televised 16:00 Sunday kick-off in lousy shape as well, which should have Benteke rubbing his hands.
Nigel Pearson‘s side are winless in nine Premier League games, losing seven of those, which includes their last two on the bounce.
Meanwhile, Paul Lambert’s side have forged a handy habit of taking the lead during their four-match unbeaten streak, nudging in front before the 40-minute mark on three occasions.
