Championship accumulator: Brentford tipped in home comfort fourfold

Published:

After the shambles that was the weekend’s away day treble Ladbrokes News is going home – with another stab at cracking the Championship.

Brentford showed Bournemouth their promotion credentials at Griffin Park and the Bees are tipped to keep the winning feeling alive when rock bottom Blackpool head to west London on Tuesday night.

Ipswich are also tipped to return to winning ways alongside Watford and Wolves in a fourfold paying out at odds of just under 6/1.

Read on to see why these midweek fixtures look easy to call.

Brentford to beat Blackpool @ 4/9

The Bees underlined the strength of their play-off bid at the weekend with a convincing 3-1 win over the Cherries and with Blackpool arriving at Griffin Park having won just one of their 32 away games a repeat of the Brentford win from earlier this season seems the most likely outcome.

Ipswich to beat Birmingham @ 8/11

The Tractor Boys may be smarting after their 1-0 reverse to Reading but Mick McCarthy’s men will grab this early opportunity to bounce back with both hands.

Town have lost just two of their last 14 games at Portman Road while the Blues, who haven’t beaten Ipswich in six attempts, come in to the game having failed to win their last eight games.

Watford to beat Rotherham @ 8/13

Watford’s promotion hopes were given a huge dent by Norwich last time out but Rotherham will be a different prospect for the Hornets altogether.

Prior to the Canaries game, Watford won three home games in a row, scoring 13 and conceding just two in that run, and with Rotherham winning just one of their last 14 on the road a return to such form look inevitable.

Wolves to beat Fulham @ 8/11

Wolves remain six points off the play-off pace but a repeat of the performance that saw them smash five past Rotherham last time out will have the Cottagers running scared.

Kit Symons’ side have now failed to win their last seven games and on this form the wait for maximum points is set to last at least until the weekend.
