While all the focus appears to be on what players might be leaving Leicester, the club are quietly acquiring a range of new recruits.
N’Golo Kante has left for Chelsea, while Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez have both been targets of Arsenal’s and different points of the summer.
The furore caused by those rumours means Nampalys Mendy, Ron-Robert Zieler and Ahmed Musa have all arrived almost unnoticed, and they could yet be joined by another new face.
Sky Sports believe the Foxes have lodged a bid for Polish winger Bartosz Kapustka, who was a part of his country’s squad at Euro 2016.
The 19-year-old made four appearances for the White Eagles in France and impressed despite never completing 90 minutes in those outings.
He started both of the victories Poland secured in that tournament, against Northern Ireland and Ukraine, and was particularly eye-catching against Michael O’Neill’s men with a Whoscored rating of 7.17.
A member of Polish top-flight side Cracovia’s squad since the 2013/14 season, Kapustka has been a regular in the first XI for two seasons.
He enjoyed his best returns from an attacking point of view last term, when he scored four goals and laid on nine assists in 33 appearances, largely from the left wing.
Marc Albrighton and Demarai Gray are Claudio Ranieri’s main two options in that position at the King Power Stadium and Kapustka would provide substantial competition to the pair should he sign on the dotted line.
Leicester aren’t the only side keeping tabs on the Polish international however, with Sky suggesting that fellow Premier League clubs and teams from Germany, Spain and the Netherlands are all trailing the youngster.
The Foxes are 25/1 to retain their Premier League title in 2016/17 and get their defence underway against Hull on the opening weekend.
