Man United newboys evens to find the net at Wembley

| 06.08.2016

Manchester United’s trio of marquee signings have dominated the headlines this summer, and they have the chance to justify the hype with a show-stopping performance against Leicester City in the Community Shield on Sunday.

With prolific hitman Zlatan Ibrahimovic, midfield maestro Henrikh Mkhitaryan and midfield enforcer Eric Bailly all likely to feature at Wembley, it’s Evens that any of Jose Mourinho’s buys find the net against the Foxes.

However, even a crucial strike from one of United’s new stars could be overshadowed by the action in the crowd – with 3/1 for Paul Pogba to be spotted at Wembley ahead of his anticipated move to Old Trafford.

It’s 10/1 that United strike pair Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney both find the net, with 16s for Leicester duo Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez to end up on the scoresheet.

In the match betting, United are 17/20 favourites for victory with Leicester 18/5 outsiders, while the 13/5 for a draw could prove popular, with both meetings last season ending in a 1-1 draw.

A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “The talent on show for this clash is something special, but the likes of Mahrez and Rooney could end up as a sideshow if Pogba rocks up at Wembley on Sunday.”
