West Ham 2/1 to sign Liverpool star; Newcastle second-favourites

West Ham United haven’t had the best luck with strikers this season – but Slaven Bilic could be set to rectify that issue this summer, with Daniel Sturridge 2/1 to make London Stadium his next home.

The Liverpool striker has started just six games in the Premier League this season, with his injuries compounded by Jurgen Klopp dropping him for some of the Reds’ biggest games when fit.

However, despite falling out of favour at Anfield, there’s no doubt the 27-year-old is one of English football’s top strikers on his day – with 71 goals in 180 Prem outings.

And there’s no shortage of suitors for his signature – including the Hammers, who have seen the likes of Ashley Fletcher, Jonathan Calleri and the now-departed Simone Zaza struggle up front this term.

Bilic’s men are clear favourites to sign Sturridge at 2s, but they could face competition from former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez, who is 8/1 to add the talented striker to his ranks.

Stoke City are next in the betting at 10/1, with Everton and Southampton both priced up at 14s.

Meanwhile, our traders reckon a return to Stamford Bridge is highly unlikely, with odds of 20/1 for the striker to head back to Chelsea.

A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “It looks like Dan’s the man as far as Bilic is concerned, and Hammers fans could have a new goalscoring hero by the time next season begins.”
