West Ham transfer news

One of West Ham’s most prized assets could be on his way to Anfield, the Evening Standard are reporting.

Midfielder Manuel Lanzini looks set to swap the East End for the North-West if Reds midfielder Philippe Coutinho completes a move to Barcelona.

Should the Brazilian force through a move to the Spanish giants it’s believed that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp would turn to Lanzini as a replacement.

The diminutive ex-River Plate star hit eight goals last season as the Hammers meandered to an 11th place finish.

Our traders have reacted to the news and priced the Argentine up at a tasty 7/4 to move to Merseyside.

If Coutinho’s proposed move to Barcelona fails to take off however, then Lanzini’s options look to be limited to London.

The 5ft 5in ace has been watched by Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, both of whom have money to spend.

Spurs are yet get their chequebook out this window and are in the market for another number ten.

Meanwhile Arsenal have been putting in bids left, right and centre, with Lanzini the latest man on Arsene Wenger’s radar.

Given the uncertainty at Liverpool at the moment we think the 7/1 available on him heading to Spurs is more than worth a shout.

Our traders have the Gunners priced up at 9/1.
