We’ve picked out the best Premier League match bets for the year ahead

The Premier League season is finally here, so it’s time to get serious and lay down some season match bets.
Will Manchester City finish above Burnley? Probably, yeah.
Will Tottenham end the year higher than Huddersfield Town? We think they might just do it.
There won’t be much value in those two punts however, but handily we’ve picked out four which are worth considering…
Man United to finish higher than Chelsea – Evens
With Romelu Lukaku on the books, Manchester United should solve the goalscoring woes which so handicapped them last term.
And a Jose Mourinho team is always hard to break down, something which is even truer now he’s added Victor Lindelof and Nemanja Matic to his Old Trafford roster.
Contrast that with Chelsea, who failed to sign Lukaku and turned to Alvaro Morata instead. Will he able to successfully succeed Diego Costa? There’s a general feeling of discontent of Stamford Bridge, and United should have the edge here.
Leicester to finish higher than Southampton – 6/5
Southampton are one of those sides whose summer activity has been somewhat underwhelming.
Mario Lemina is a quality addition, but they beat Leicester City by just two points last season, and the Foxes only turned up for the final few months of the year.
Now that the former champions have added Harry Maguire, Kelechi Ihaenacho and Vicente Iborra, we’re surprised they’re not odds-on to finish above the Saints.
Bournemouth to finish higher than Stoke – 10/11
Bournemouth finished above Stoke City last season, and it’s hard to argue that Mark Hughes has improved his side over the summer, having lost Marko Arnautovic to West Ham.
The Cherries however, have added to an already solid side. Jermain Defoe brings a clinical edge up front, centre-half Nathan Ake has a very bright future, and Asmir Begovic is a dependable pair of hands.
It’s expected to be another mighty-close campaign outside of the top-seven, and the Cherries’ have a good shot at again creeping into the bottom-half of the top-10.
Arsenal to finish higher than Tottenham – 10/11
We couldn’t not wade into the North London rivalry.
After Spurs ended more than 20 years of finishing below their fierce rivals last term, we’re fancying Arsenal to reassert themselves at the first time of asking.
The Gunners have made two very sharp signings in Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac, and being out of the Champions League should give them the perfect impetus to get right back in the top-four, possibly at Tottenham’s expense.
