Football Acca Tips : Hartlepool, Blackpool and Scunthorpe lead 80/1 chance
Published:With the final international break of 2017 taking place this weekend, it’s time for the lower leagues to shine.
The Ladbrokes News crew have cast their eyes over the Saturday 15:00 games across League One, League Two and the National League.
As ever, each member of the team has chosen one W-D-W selection to produce this weekend’s five-fold.
Here’s who we like the look of…
Richard Marsh
Sutton United to beat Solihull Moors
With the National League proving super competitive this season, every point counts more than ever.
So fourth-place Sutton United will be striving for a win away at bottom side Solihull Moors.
Sutton have drawn their last three, but a win would really push them into the reckoning at the sharp end. Solihull have lost 13 of their 18 games this term, and Paul Doswell’s men are 3/4 for three important points.
Miguel Assuncao
Hartlepool United to beat Boreham Wood
Hartlepool are unbeaten away in the league since mid August and should edge past Boreham Wood at Meadow Park.
The Wood have drawn their last two at home and will have to deal with the Pools’ attacking threat that has seen them score away in all but two games in the league this season.
Craig Harrison’s men look decent value at 3/1 to come out with the three points
Cian Carroll
Blackpool to beat Portsmouth
Neither side is in great form but we’re still not sure how Blackpool are 2/1 to beat Portsmouth at Bloomfield Road.
The Tangerines have won five of their seven home games, losing just once.
Portsmouth, on the other hand, have lost five of their eight away games and scored just six goals on the road. The value has to lie with the Northern seasiders.
Dave Burin
Scunthorpe United to beat Bristol Rovers
The Iron head into Saturday’s game looking for a third league victory on the trot, with an impressive win at Oldham Athletic last time out.
As for Rovers, they travel to Glanford Park this weekend with one of the league’s worst away records.
Darrell Clarke’s men have lost six of their last seven on the road, and were beaten 3-1 on their last visit to Scunthorpe. The Iron are 6/5 for three points.
Nick Murphy
Dover Athletic to beat Eastleigh
Dover are top of the National League and should make light work of under-performing Eastleigh.
Chris Kinnear’s league leaders are unbeaten in five at home and have enough quality to dispose of a Spitfires side that have only won twice in their last seven outings.
Dover have won five of the last six meetings between the two sides – including both last season – and are generously priced at 5/6 to continue that good run.
So, there we go. Our five-fold acca comes in at a juicy 80/1!
