EURO 2024 Betting Odds: England now sole favourites to win

There are now only a few games left of the Premier League left, and despite their being so much still to play for, fans are beginning to get excited about the Euro 2024 tournament that’s due to be held in Germany this summer.

England, after losing out to Italy in the final last time out, are seen as the outright favourites for the tournament. The Three Lions are just ahead of France, who knocked them out of the World Cup on route to the final just over a year ago.

Hosts Germany are also seen as one of the favourites, as are Spain, who will be without star man Gavi for the tournament after he ruptured his ACL towards the end of last year.

As excitement for the tournament continues to build, Ladbrokes looks at EURO 2024 betting odds, including who the ten favourites, according to the bookies, to win the tournament are.

EURO 2024 betting odds

1. England – 3/1

England are favourites for EURO 2024, with odds of 3/1. England lost out on EURO 2020, which took place in 2021 after the tournament was postponed the year prior due to COVID-19, on penalties after the tense final between Italy finished 1-1 after extra time.

However, with Jude Bellingham now one of the best players in the world, Phil Foden and Trent Alexander-Arnold on top of their game and Harry Kane still one of the best strikers on the planet, it’s hard to see why the bookies are backing England to do well.

2. France – 10/3

Take everything we said about England and apply it to France… The 2018 World Cup winners will have Kylian Mbappe leading the line for them come the summer of 2024. The PSG winger scored a hat-rick in one of the most impressive World Cup final performance ever seen last year, and will be hoping to turn that heartbreak into his first-ever European Championship win.

France, with odds of 10/3, are priced as the second-favourites to win EURO 2024.

3. Germany – 5/1

Next up are tournament hosts Germany, who’ll be hoping that having the home advantage gives them a better chance at being crowned European Champions come July 2024.

With the likes of Leroy Sane, Ilkay Gundogan, Joshua Kimmich and Kai Havertz in their ranks, and with Champions League winning manager Julian Nagelsmann as their boss, Germany have all the makings of a top top Team for the forthcoming tournament.

4. Spain – 8/1

Spain have been priced at 8/1 in the top four favourites for EURO 2024, with the bookmakers clearly thinking that they’ve got a chance at walking away with the trophy this summer.

While Gavi is missing the tournament, the likes of Pedri, Rodri and Alvaro Morata still give the 2008 and 2012 European Championship tournament winners a slot chance at emerging victorious once again.

Spain have a well good group of young talent breaking through too, optimised by Lamine Yamal, so even if they don’t win the EUROs next year, there’s a good chance they’ll be in and around the trophies for the next few years.

5. Portugal – 8/1

In what will likely be Cristiano Ronaldo’s final international tournament, the former Real Madrid, Juventus and Man United man will be hoping to win the EUROs for the second time in his career.

Ronaldo will be flanked by the likes of Diogo Jota, Joao Felix and Raphael Leao, with Bruno Fernandes and Bernardo Silva behind them, so when you look at their starting XI, it’s hard to argue with Portugal at the price of 8/1 for a little punt.

Perhaps their defensive solidity is why Portugal aren’t higher up on this list, but when you look at their attack threat along, Roberto Martinez’s side surely has to be considered one of the favourites.

6, 7 & 8. Belgium Italy and Netherlands – 16/1

The golden generation of Belgium may have failed to deliver on the international stage, and while a lot of the top players like Vincent Kompany and Eden Hazard have retired, any country with Kevin De Bruyne in its ranks surely has to be considered one of the favourites for any knockout competition.

KDB will be hoping that he’s put his injury problems behind him come next summer, where he’ll be hoping that a fourth consecutive Premier League title win with Manchester City, and possibly a back-to-back Champions League title are followed by a win at EURO 2024 with Belgium.

It’s quite surprising to see Italy, who won EURO 2020, ranked so low ahead of next summer’s tournament.

However, when you look at their form since beating England in 2021, it’s not hard to see why the bookmakers aren’t fancying Italy for next summer’s tournament.

Roberto Mancini has left his post as Italy manager to take up a role with Saudi Arabia, and while ex-Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti is hopeful he can retain the title in his first tournament with national team, the bookies aren’t as confident.

The Netherlands, on the other hand, are a rather strange one. Considering the team they’ve got, with some of the best and most exciting players on the planet right now, they probably should be in a better place than they are right now.

With Virgil van Dijk at the back and Frenkie de Jong in front of him, Holland have arguably the best defender and one of the best midfielders in the world on their books, but have always struggled in major tournaments, sometimes failing to even qualify.

At the price of also 16/1, the bookies aren’t completely writing the Netherlands off, but do clearly thinking that it could take something quite special from Ronald Koeman’s side to get the job done next summer.

9. Croatia – 33/1

Unlike The Netherlands, a team that always manages to do well at major international tournaments is Croatia, who only got knocked out of the World Cup last year in the semi-final by Argentina, who went on to eventually win the whole thing.

With Man City boys Josko Gvardiol and Mateo Kovacic in their side, and Luka Modric, a true magician with the ball at his feet, will eligible to play, could Croatia cause an upset at EURO 2024? Only time will tell.

10. Denmark – 33/1

Priced slight behind to win the upcoming European Championship as Croatia are Denmark, who are often dubbed by many football fans as the ‘dark horses’ going into major international tournaments.

While the Danish national team has lots of a quality players on its books, they’ll likely lack the real quality to win the entire tournament this year, but there’s no reason they won’t beat a big team here or there at EURO 2024.
