Tottenham 4/9 to miss out on top-four; 1/8 not to win a trophy
Published:After victories against Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund, Tottenham Hotspur were being touted as potential Champions League contenders.
Now, though, Spurs face a fight just to qualify for next season’s competition.
The Lilywhites are just 4/9 to finish outside of the top-four in the Premier League.
As for their title odds, an unlikely 150/1 says that the North Londoners overhaul Manchester City to claim a first top-division title since 1961.
In-fact we go 4/6 that local rivals Arsenal reverse placings from last season and finish above their near-neighbours.
The FA Cup appears to be Tottenham’s best hope of winning a trophy this season.
But they may have trouble landing that too, with our traders going 1/8 that the Wembley tenants fail to pick up any kind of silverware this season.
And if that happens, then Pochettino’s days in North London could be numbered.
The Argentine is 4/1 to call time on his Spurs career when the season comes to an end, while Dele Alli and Harry Kane are 6/4 and 3/1 respectively to move on in the summer.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “There’s a long way to go yet, but the latest odds suggest a miserable few months await Spurs fans, who will likely spend next summer biting their fingernails at the thought of losing a handful of key names.”
