Why Swansea City and Brighton should go after Hull’s Jarrod Bowen

Jarrod Bowen is a man in demand.

The 21-year-old striker has shone for Hull City this season and is now attracting the interest of a host of Premier League clubs.

At the front of the queue are Swansea City and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Both clubs have issues up-front and could be tempted to lodge a bid for £8m rated man.

Bowen has bagged 11 goals in 26 appearances so far this season for relegation-threatened Hull.

He has a knack for popping up in the right place at the right time and scoring goals from in and around the six-yard box.

In many ways, he’s a throwback to the old-fashioned goal poachers of yesteryear.

Whether on the shoulder of the last man or on the end of a cross, he always provides teammates with an option.

For such a young player, his movement on and off the ball is very impressive.

That could appeal to the Premier League duo, both of whom attack with verve thanks to the pace of their respective wingers.

The ex-Hereford United man is not averse to the spectacular, either. The Leominster-born ace can use both feet and showed that to full effect when netting a spectacular effort against Nottingham Forest in October.

With the Tigers stuck in a relegation fight for the foreseeable future, a move to the Premier League this month might appeal to Bowen.

But with the Hull star contracted to the KCOM Stadium until 2020, his signature will command a fee regardless of which club comes calling.
