Swansea boss Carvalhal fav for January Manager of the Month award

Swansea City were seemingly relegation-doomed at the turn of the year. But following their sudden and dramatic revival, Carlos Carvalhal is now the favourite to be Premier League Manager of the Month for January.
The Swans boss is 11/10 for the accolade, following a month in which his side took seven points from four games. That included victories over Liverpool and Arsenal.
Those odds see him ahead of the trio of Pep Guardiola, Eddie Howe and Jurgen Klopp, who are 2/1 apiece.
Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho and Mauricio Pochettino are each 9/4, with David Moyes closing out the market at 3/1.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Carvalhal has worked wonders for Swansea since taking over and it’s looking increasingly likely he’ll get the recognition he deserves for the stellar job he’s done so far.”
That success has continued into February, with the victory over Burnley last weekend their fifth successive home league win in all competitions.
Next up for Swansea is a visit to Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, with the South Wales club 27/10 for victory.
