Mauricio Pochettino and Maurizio Sarri will both have their eyes on the prize ahead of tonight’s Carabao Cup semi-final between Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.
Both managers are highly respected within the game. Yet neither has tasted any significant success in terms of trophies.
They’ll be hoping to change that in this competition. But one must fall by the wayside for the other to succeed. Who will secure a first-leg advantage at Wembley tonight?
Match odds
Tottenham have won their last two matches against Chelsea. They’ve not won three in a row against their West London rivals since 1963.

Talking Tactics
The Blues were like rabbits caught in headlights the last time they made the visit to North London. Spurs hustled them, bustled them and unsettled them right from the first whistle.
Two goals in the first 20 minutes were key to that. A like-for-like front four of Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli, Son Heung-min and Harry Kane will look to do the same again.
Sarri could add more mobility into his midfield as a result, with Ross Barkley likely to line-up alongside Jorginho and N’Golo Kante.
Callum Hudson-Odoi will hope he did enough in the FA Cup to take his place in a front three with Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata.
A back four which could contain the inconsistent Emerson Palmieri may be a worry.
Goalscorer odds
Kane is the obvious shout. He’s 16/5 to Score First or 21/20 Anytime. However, it’s the midfield and specifically Alli who tend to do the damage in this fixture.
The England ace has six goals in his last five matches against Chelsea and is 14/5 to add to that tally. After netting two braces in that time, we go 18/1 about Alli bagging another twosome here.
Son is rated a 15/8 chance Anytime, while Eriksen is a 16/5 shot. Hazard is given the likeliest quote for the visitors at 15/8, with Morata slightly further back at 2/1.
Defender Marcos Alonso isn’t exactly prolific, and there’s no guarantee he’ll start, but after netting a brace at Wembley last season he’s 6/1 to Score Anytime here.
