Glen Durrant’s odds of winning the 2020 PDC World Darts Championship have taken a dramatic tumble following his maiden Players Championship success in Wigan.

The three-time reigning BDO World Champion was 50/1 for a first Alexandra Palace success seven days ago. That price has shortened to 33/1 after Duzza’s victory at the weekend.

It means he’s now ahead of James Wade, Dimitri van den Bergh and Raymond van Barneveld in the running for the January 2020 showpiece.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Duzza could be set for the best year of his career as his odds on winning the Worlds continue to tumble.”
