Luke Littler could win the Premier League

From 80/1 chancer to 6/5 contender: Ladbrokes have revealed a detailed breakdown of Luke Littler’s odds of winning the 2024 World Darts Championship tonight.

Before a dart was thrown at the World Youth Final, Littler’s odds of going all the way at Ally Pally were around 80/1, and were slashed to 50/1 by the time the tournament got underway.

That was all to change after just three sets, though, with punters backing the 16-year-old in from 50/1 to just 14/1 overnight, before another resounding win against Andrew Gilding saw his odds tumble to just 5/1.

And while they’ve drifted in parts – largely due to the success of his competitors – since the turn of the year, the bookies have slashed those odds from 10/1, to 6/1, to 10/3, to 13/8, now standing at just 6/5 to be crowned this year’s champion.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “It would undoubtedly go down as the biggest upset we’ve ever seen at Ally Pally… never before have we seen anything close to what Luke Littler is producing on stage right now. Plenty of savvy punters were on the youngster off the back of his World Youth win in November, but people really started to take notice when he blew away Cristian Kist on his Ally Pally debut… to go from 50/1 to just 5/1 in the matter of hours is nothing short of incredible.

“He’s done it the hard way, too, having seen off two former world champs in Raymond van Barneveld and Rob Cross, and punters’ interest has grown with every dart thrown; he might be the slight outsider to win the Sid Waddell Trophy tonight, but Littler certainly has the backing of the bettors up to this point, with around three in four punters fancying him to get the better of Luke Humphries tonight.
