La Liga Tips: Barcelona to produce another rout of Real in El Clasico?

Luis Suarez - Barcelona

Barcelona left Real Madrid reeling on Wednesday night, as Ernesto Valverde’s men chalked up a 3-0 Copa Del Rey win at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Both sides have to wait just three days to meet again, with El Clasico rearing its head in La Liga this weekend. So will it be more Barca brilliance, or Real revenge?

Sandwiched between the pair in second place are Atletico Madrid, who hit the road to San Sebastian for a tough away test.

We cover all that and more in the tips for gameweek 26, kicking off with the season’s fourth Clasico.

Real Madrid v Barcelona

Los Blancos took another bashing from their arch enemies in midweek, having also been trounced 5-1 at Camp Nou in October. And the capital club now face the possibility of losing three home games on the trot for the first time since May 2004.

Barca are unbeaten in nine, and should be too strong again for their struggling hosts. It’s 11/8 for a Barcelona win, with Real 17/10 and the Draw up for grabs at 13/5.

Luis Suarez has been their tormenter-in-chief of late. He’s scored seven in five against Real. The feisty Uruguayan is 11/8 to register again, and 9/2 to bag Two or More Goals.

As for Real, their most-fancied man is 6/4 Anytime shot Karim Benzema.

While Real should put up a bit more of a fight here, a 3-1 win for Valverde’s side could be a popular pick at 16/1.

Real Sociedad v Atletico Madrid

In second spot and seven points off Barcelona, Atleti will still fancy they have an outside chance of coming good on those 14/1 title odds.

However, they’re up against a Real Sociedad side who’ve conceded just once in their last five games.

This could be a very tight affair, and the odds have Under 2.5 Goals at 4/7.

Sociedad have won their last two home meetings with Diego Simeone’s men, and are 27/10 to edge this one. Meanwhile, the in-form Mikel Oyarzabal is 11/4 to notch Anytime.

Huesca v Sevilla

Sevilla sit in fifth place on 37 points. Huesca are rock-bottom on 19 points. But this could well go the way of the hosts. Hear us out!

Huesca are a team transformed in 2019. Three of their four La Liga wins have come in this calendar year, including a 4-0 tonking of Real Valladolid.

As for Sevilla, they’ve managed a dismal one point in four outings this month. However, they’ve still scored four times in that run – and Over 2.5 Goals here is 11/8.

We go 11/4 for a Huesca win, while Francisco’s men are 4/5 in the Double Chance.

Real Betis v Getafe

It might be a backhanded compliment, but Getafe are the kings of away-day draws.

Nine of their last 14 on the road have ended level, including seven 1-1 scorelines.

We go 2/1 for the Draw in Betis, while another round of 1-1 is 5/1.

Azulones like an early goal. They’ve been the First Team to Score in seven of their previous 10 games, and a repeat of the feat is 29/20.
