Belle Amie Betting Odds

Belle Amie may be Simon Cowell’s favourite group, but the four girls strung together at the audition stage are the 2/1 favourites to be the next act to be eliminated.

Having auditioned as individuals, Esther Campbell, Rebecca Creighton, Sophia Wardman and Geneva Lane were thrown together in the boot camp part of the audition after the lack of quality groups to emerge from the second stage of auditions.

A rendition of George Michaels ‘Faith’ was enough for mentor Simon to take the girls through to the live shows as one of his three acts, and it seems the girls have bonded well in the first two weeks, but their weak sound has seen them attract criticism from the public.

Girl bands have never fared well in the X Factor, The Conway Sisters and Hope, finished fifth in the series two and four of the television show, but more recently Kandi Rain and Bad Lashes were eliminated in week one of series five and six.

It would take a strong performance from Belle Amie to survive week three, and at 100/1 to win the competition, the odds suggest Belle Amie have no chance of making it to the final week to sing for the recording deal.

The week one performance of B.o.B’s ‘Airplanes’ was good enough to see them safely through to week two, but the girls rendition of The Kinks’ ‘You Really Got Me Going’ saw them finish in the bottom two of the public vote.

That left them in a sing-off with fellow group contestants Diva Fever, and the judges kept them in the competition after an emotion affected performance of Fergie’s ‘Big Girls’.

With just two groups left in the competition, Simon is 11/4 to be the winning manager and One Direction are 1/50 to be the top group in the X Factor specials betting market.
