Both teams to score tips for Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday’s FA Cup games.

The both teams to score tips column is back ahead of the return of FA Cup action this weekend, featuring picks for Liverpool v Arsenal, Man City v Huddersfield and Luton v Bolton.

Luton Town, who sit in the Premier League relegation zone, host a Bolton Wanderers side who will go to the top of League One if they win their game in hand over Portsmouth, and we’re picking both as part of our eight-fold 58.95/1 BTTS acca selection.

Click on the link for this weekend’s football acca tips, featuring picks from Wrexham v Shrewsbury, Arsenal v Liverpool and Man United v Wigan.

Brentford v Wolves

Wolves beat Brentford 4-1 in a thrilling clash on December 27 thanks to a brace from Hwang Hee-chan and goals from Jeanricner Bellegarde and Mario Lemina, and they’ll be hoping for more of the same when they head to the Gtech Community Stadium once again on Friday night.

It was goals galore the last time the two teams met, and we’re kicking off our acca thinking it’ll be more of the same in the FA Cup, with the selection of both teams to score at 5/6.

Sunderland v Newcastle

The last game between Newcastle and Sunderland took place in March 2016, when Aleksander Mitrovic scored in the 83rd minute at St James Park to earn his side a point after Jermaine Defoe opened the scoring for the Black Cats in the first time.

Since the last time the two teams met in a Tyne-Wear derby a lot as changed, but one thing that has remained the same is the distain that the two clubs have for one another, and we’re predicting that to be on full display on Saturday.

Sunderland sit in sixth in the Championship this season, having scored 36 goals in 26 games, and that coupled with the fact that Newcastle are fresh off conceding the highest amount of xG in Premier League history during their trip to Anfield on Monday night, means that BTTS in this game is going into our acca at the price of 3/5.

Middlesbrough v Aston Villa

Heading over to the Riverside Stadium, where Michael Carrick’s Middlesbrough side host Unai Emery’s Aston Villa, who ended 2023 with the second-most points of anyone in the Premier League over the year, only behind treble winners Manchester City.

Whilst many will be backing a Villa one, and probably with good reason, we’d rather focus on the goals for this one, and we’re backing BTTS at the price of 4/6.

Emery’s side have conceded in each of their last five games, including three against Man United and two against Burnley in their last two outings, and with Middlesbrough reaching the Carabao Cup semi-final, where they’ll play Chelsea, and scoring 38 goals in 26 games this league campaign, this bet could end up being a winner.

Luton v Bolton

If things don’t start picking up for Luton Town in the Premier League, and if things don’t go terribly wrong for Bolton in League One, these two teams could find themselves playing in the same division next season.

However, for now, they meet in the FA Cup, and we’re selecting BTTS at the price of 5/6 for what has all the makings of a thrilling cup tie at Kenilworth Road on Sunday afternoon.

Peterborough v Leeds

Both flying in their respective divisions, Leeds’ trip to Peterborough has all the makings of a high-quality game on Sunday, and goals would well be on the menu.

Peterborough have scored the most goals in League One this season, with 50 in just 25 games, and Leeds have been just as good in front of goal, finding the back of the net an impressive 45 times in 26 games in the Championship this season.

Two teams in top form meeting in the FA Cup means that a pick of BTTS at the price of 8/13 features in our acca this weekend.

Arsenal v Liverpool

The biggest game of the FA Cup weekend so far sees Premier League leaders Liverpool head to the Emirates Stadium for a third round clash with their title rivals Arsenal.

The two teams met at the end of December at Anfield, with the game ending 1-1 thanks to goals from Gabriel and Mohamed Salah, but both teams will probably have gone away thinking they could have scored more.

Despite Salah being away on international duty with Egypt, Liverpool’s attack is still red hot right now, having scored four goals at Anfield against Newcastle on Monday night, and with the talent on display in Arsenal’s forward line, BTTS seems like a smart bet at the price of 8/15.

Man City v Huddersfield

We’re expecting total domination when Championship side Huddersfield head to the Ethiad Stadium to take on reigning FA Cup holders Manchester City.

In fact, the bet of Man City to ‘win to nil’ on Sunday afternoon makes the most sense with this one, and we’re adding it to our acca at the price of 4/9.

Wigan v Man United

Take everything we just said about Man City and apply it to Man United when they head to Wigan on Sunday evening…

We’re expecting United to progress through to the fourth round at the hands of their League One opposition here, and we’re even adding them into our acca for a ‘win to nil’ bet at the price of 20/23.
