The players get all the glory, but there’s much more to a football club than what happens on the pitch.
There are cooks, cleaners and people like Glenn Nortcliffe, who became Sheffield United’s assistant groundsman after joining a youth training scheme in 1986.
The lifelong Blades fan was then named head groundsman at 20-years-old. He’s been at Bramall Lane ever since.
People like Glenn are the foundation of any club. He provides a link to the past while helping to pave an exciting future.
