Neville set for a return to Salford after Valencia exit

Published:

Gary Neville could soon swap the high life of La Liga for the grass roots of the Northern Premier League Premier Division after seeing his time in Spain curtailed.

After being given the boot by Valencia this week following 147 days in charge of the Spanish club, it’s Salford City who are the favourites to be his next port of call at 5/1.

A return to the dugout at Old Trafford, this time in a management capacity, is 8/1, while England are a 10/1 shot to be Neville’s next appointment.

Those who think the experience in Spain will be enough to put him off for like can take 10/1 it’s his last job as a gaffer, while a return to Sky’s Monday Night Football looks a certainty at just 1/3.

A Ladbrokes spokesman said: “After his Valencia experiment was brought to an end, it looks like G Nev’s next stint in the dugout could see him drop down a few leagues.”

It’s 5/1 that Neville and Ryan Giggs pair up at Old Trafford in a managerial partnership, as is a reunion with brother Phil at the Theatre of Dreams.
