Arsenal man heading for surprise Deadline Day move to Bundesliga

Published:

Say what you will about Arsene Wenger’s transfer policy, there’s no disputing the fact he’s had a hectic summer, filled with negotiations for players both coming and going. And the latest man set for a move away from the Emirates is Serge Gnabry.

Wenger had previously stated that he wished to keep hold of the 21-year-old and saw a future for him at Arsenal – and with Joel Campbell already being sent out on yet another loan, it looked as though this would be the year Gnabry would finally get his break at the North London outfit.

But while the midfielder was yesterday linked with a potential move to German giants Bayern Munich, it’s Werder Bremen who now look favourites to land Germany’s Olympic star at ODDS.

Gnabry hasn’t played a single minute of league football since 2014 for the Gunners and in truth a move would probably be best for both parties. However, Wenger will look to make some money from any potential transfer and Gnabry is valued at roughly £8m.

But will that money that Wenger will spend elsewhere before the window slams shut tonight? We’ll have to wait and see!

Stay tuned for more Deadline Day updates.
