Liverpool man now just 1/2 to join Crystal Palace today in shock move

Published:

He may have already added Patrick van Aanholt and Jeffrey Schlupp to his ranks this month, but Crystal Palace manager Sam Allardyce looks set to bring in at least one more face before the transfer window slams shut.

And he could just be the difference between relegation and survival.

Liverpool outcast Mamadou Sakho has long been linked with a move away from Anfield – having failed to register a single minute of competitive football under Jurgen Klopp this season.

And his wish to leave the club could be granted in the coming hours, with our traders making it just 1/2 that he moves to Selhurst Park.

Lest we forget this is a player who was once a key figure at French giants Paris Saint-Germain, and at 26, has his best years still very much ahead of him.

Despite Liverpool’s ongoing frailties at the back, Klopp has refused to give Sakho a chance to prove his worth following a fall-out at the tail end of last season.

And given that he’s considered surplus to requirements in Merseyside, it’s likely the Eagles would have to pay substantially less than the Reds’ current valuation of £20m.

So could we see Sakho lining up alongside the likes of Van Aanholt and Joel Ward as Palace attempt to steer clear of the drop?

The odds are certainly suggesting that could be the case.
