Premier League preview: Four matches to consider in your Wednesday acca

Published:

The rip-roaring pace of the Premier League shows little sign of slowing down with plenty still to play for tonight.

Chelsea, Arsenal and Leicester City all have Europe on their mind, while Norwich City and Bournemouth are fighting to avoid relegation.

But who’s going in your mid-week acca? We’ve got the lowdown to help you decide.

Arsenal v Norwich City (18:00)

Arsenal’s ‘Project Restart’ has been a microcosm of their whole season. Patchy at best. But with two straight wins in all competitions they’re 4/9 favourites on home soil.

Mikel Arteta may bring back captain and top-scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang into the starting eleven. The 17-goal man is 8/13 to score here, while Nicolas Pepe is 9/5 anytime to make it three goals in three games.

The two sides played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at Carrow Road earlier in the season. Another draw is 17/5, while Norwich are 6/1 to score a huge win in their relegation battle.

Bournemouth v Newcastle United (18:00)

Bournemouth are in real jeopardy of dropping back to the Championship. The Cherries are 29/20 to bag a crucial three points and heap pressure on West Ham playing later in the day.

But Newcastle will feel one more win of their own at 21/20 should be enough to get them over the line.

With Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson suspended, the Popular Goalscorer market has Harry Wilson 5/1 to open the scoring, while the Toon’s Dwight Gayle is 3/1 anytime.

Everton v Leicester City (18:00)

Leicester will be looking over their shoulders at both Chelsea and Manchester United on their coattails. Brendan Rodgers will know how important an away win (15/8) is, despite chief protagonist James Maddison’s fitness doubts.

The Foxes were flying at one point but will need Jamie Vardy (17/2 to score 2 or more) to start firing again.

Everton have shown signs of a resurgence under Carlo Ancelotti and are 31/20 for victory. You can find a 1-1- draw at 19/4.

West Ham v Chelsea (20:15)

There’s a lively London derby coming from the London Stadium tonight with both clubs still having a lot to play for.

The home side need to start picking up points to avoid relegation, West Ham on the Double Chance are 29/20.

Manuel Lanzini has scored nine of his 20 league goals in London derbies. The Argentine playmaker is 13/2 to make it 10.

Chelsea are in a rich vein of form right now, however, and are the 8/15 favourites to take a valuable three points.
