Lewis has already proved his ability to cope with the pressure of starring on the big stage with his 7-5 victory over Gary Anderson at Alexandra Palace, making him the youngest ever winner of the tournament.
He has followed up on this victory with some more solid results in 2011 to show that he has retained his good form when it matters in the larger tournaments on the darts circuit.
Lewis was beaten in the final of the European Championships by Phil Taylor in July and just prior to this lost to Anderson in the final of the Premier League.
