In our exclusive blog with Marc Ó Sé, the Ladbrokes ambassador says he expects to see a ‘huge reaction’ from May in the National Football League with his previews for March 2 and 3’s action.

Derry v Dublin 5 pm Saturday Celtic Park

Derry are all but guaranteed a place in the League Final so they are riding high at the moment and will certainly want to continue their winning ways. What better way to do that than to beat the All-Ireland Champions who are coming to town. We have seen huge improvements in Dublin in recent weeks with back-to-back wins against Roscommon and Kerry. The form of both Con O’Callaghan and Shane McGuigan have been the highlights of the National Football League so far this season. Whatever team can curb the influence of these players have a great chance of winning this game. These two teams last came up against each other in the National Football League Final last season where the Dubs scored five goals and destroyed Derry. I expect Derry to be a far greater challenge this time round and with the game in Celtic Park, I am going to go with a home win for Derry at 10/11.

Mayo v Roscommon 7:30 pm Saturday Castlebar

Roscommon will take huge confidence from their home win against Monaghan last weekend, and they now take on Mayo in Castlebar. They know if they can manage a victory, it could help them avoid the drop to Division 2. Roscommon will also see that Galway are on three points, so they know they are under pressure here. But they will not fear Mayo, especially after they were defeated by Tyrone last weekend. That is back-to-back defeats now for Mayo, so I expect a huge reaction from them on Saturday. For that reason alone, I will go with a Mayo win at 4/11.

Kerry v Tyrone 1:15 pm Fitzgeralds Stadium Sunday

Kerry had their heaviest defeat away to Dublin last weekend under Jack O’Connor’s reign. They had no answer to the sheer brilliance of Con O’Callaghan who scored three goals. Jack O’Connor will analyse that game for the entire week and will make sure they will not perform the way they did last Saturday night. However, with forwards like Darragh Canavan and Darran McCurry, I just wonder how do Kerry nullify their threat. I think we will see Tadhg Morely sitting deeper and as a result Diarmuid O’Connor coming back to the number six position. Paudie and David Clifford will not be as quiet as they were last weekend and on that basis, I am going with a Kerry win at 4/11.

Monaghan v Galway 3:15 pm Clones Sunday

These two teams are fighting for their lives to maintain Division 1 status so there will be a proper needle to this game and I expect it to go down to the wire. The problem for Monaghan and Galway has been that they haven’t had a full panel to choose from. Whichever team can get some star players back could be the difference. I expect Monaghan to fight for their lives in this game and I am just going to go with a home win at 15/8.
