After a five-month hiatus, the 2020 Premier League Darts campaign resumes this week in Milton Keynes, and everything’s still to play for.

There’s a lot more tungsten tussling to come from the likes of reigning champion Michael van Gerwen, world champion Peter Wright, plus Glen Durrant, Rob Cross, Gary Anderson and the rest.

So before we get back down to business on the oche, we’ve brought you a handy guide to get your arrows aligned…

What’s the situation now?

We had played six rounds of this year’s tournament, before the Covid-19 pandemic brought sport to a halt back in March.

All those results still count, with Glenn Durrant top of the table, and Daryl Gurney at the bottom.

How will the rest of the tournament progress?

The PDC has agreed to whizz through the next few rounds. Starting on Tuesday, we’ll have nights seven to 12 coming on consecutive evenings from behind closed doors at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes.

As usual, we’ll have judgement night on night nine, before the start of phase two on night 10.

The players will then take a few days off after night 12, before nights 13 through to 16 again on consecutive evenings, starting on Thursday September 3rd.

Then it’s play-off time, although there’s quite a gap, with the play-offs scheduled to take place on Thursday October 22nd at the 02 Arena in London.

What are the odds?

Now we’re talking. Five-time champion Van Gerwen is the 11/10 favourite, ahead of Wright at 5/1 and surprise package Durant at 7s.

We return with night seven on Tuesday, and there are some humdingers on the way.

Michael Smith takes on Anderson in the opener, with both players 7/5 apiece for the win.

That’s followed by Van Gerwen versus Cross, with Mighty Mike 2/5 against Voltage’s 19/4.

Nathan Aspinall (9/5) then takes on Gerwyn Price (11/10), before Gurney (5/4) faces night 7’s challenger Chris Dobey (8/5).

The final match of the night sees Wright take on Durrant, with Snakebite narrowly odds-on at 19/10, versus Duzza’s 21/10.
