Spain v France preview & betting odds
Spain's Euro 2024 campaign has been impressive, as the only side in the competition to have won all their games. They advanced to the semi-finals by edging past Germany in a dramatic quarter-final match, becoming the favourites for the tournament in the process.
Leading Spain's attack, Alvaro Morata, Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams have been key contributors, with Dani Olmo also popping up with two vital goals, seeing him head into the final week of Euro 2024 as one of the front-runners to win the Golden Boot.
Fellow Spanish midfielder Rodri has also had a stellar tournament, with the Man City midfielder seen by the bookies as the favourite to win the Player of the Tournament come the final whistle of the final on July 14.
France, meanwhile, have had a mixed tournament. They won just one of their group matches and drew the other two but managed to reach the semi-finals by defeating Portugal in the quarter-finals on penalties. Despite some struggles, the depth and quality of their squad keep them among the tournament favourites.
Kylian Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann, and Marcus Thuram lead the French attack, though Mbappe has only managed to score one goal so far. The Real Madrid star remains a constant threat, and Spain’s defence will need to be at their best to contain him.
According to the bookies, Spain are slight favourites, but France's talent and tactical acumen make this a tight contest. The odds suggest a close game, with a draw after 90 minutes being a strong possibility.
