Boxing Betting at Ladbrokes

At Ladbrokes we like to think we have a knockout set of odds when it comes to boxing betting which leaves our rivals on the ropes. Whether you’re interested in a world unification bout or a title eliminator, we have boxing odds on all the major fights taking place in the UK and abroad. Boxing is a complicated sport with 17 weight classes in the professional ranks and four major bodies: WBA, WBC, IBF and the WBO, so it is possible to have four world champions in one division at the same time although rarely are they all unified. Heavyweight boxing is regarded as the blue riband division and covers fighters weighing 200lb or above. There have been some explosive fighters in this division over the years, none more so than Mike Tyson who was the undisputed champion between 1987-90.

Iron Mike won his first 19 professional fights by knockout, 12 of them in the first round, and was the first heavyweight boxer to hold the WBA, WBC and IBF belts simultaneously, but all good things must come to an end and he was sensationally knocked out by Buster Douglas in one of the upsets of the century in 1990. Of course, there have been other legends throughout history, the greatest being Muhammad Ali, but the likes of Joe Louis, George Foreman, Larry Holmes and Joe Frazier all have their claims to be among the elite, as does Manchester’s two-time heavyweight champion Tyson Fury who overcome adversity to knock Deontay Wilder out twice and regain his WBC belt. Whoever is fighting, you can be sure Ladbrokes will be ringside with some great boxing betting odds for the biggest bouts on the planet.

Boxing Odds

As fight night approaches, we have many more markets than the standard win or draw boxing odds that are offered when the bout is first announced. Our boxing betting section offers odds on which round the fight will end or whether it goes the distance followed by a decision from the judges. Draws are rare but that was the case in the first Fury v Wilder fight, one the British challenger was widely thought to have won despite being knocked to the canvas twice. Not only can you bet on a boxer to win, but you can also predict the method of victory. There are only three outcomes in boxing betting, the first being a knockout, a technical knockout (TKO) or disqualification.

The second is for a decision or a technical decision which means the fighter has won on points either unanimously or split, according to a panel of judges who may also go for the third option - a draw. Round betting is also an interesting area of boxing betting. With this option you can pick out the round the fight will end or choose from a group of rounds, such as 1-3 or 1-6 in which the odds would be bigger in the former example. Whether the fight will go the distance is often a question that occupies the minds of boxing experts and if you believe the hype from the two fighters in the build-up to every big night, their bout is going to end one way - with a knockout! On average, around two-third of professional fights are settled this way or by TKO although the percentage is higher as the weight of the fighters increases.

Ladbrokes also offer a market on whether the fight will go the distance, so there are plenty of options to sift through ahead of the big night.

Bet on boxing fights

Although the United States tends to dominate the heavyweight division, Britain have had nine world champions in total and two have come recently with Anthony Joshua and Fury the latest. Their success has led to greater interest in the sport and consequently Ladbrokes have more markets, while our team of writers often give boxing betting tips on the biggest fights. As fight night draws closer, look out for our price boosts when we increase the odds on a particular market or combine one boxer to win with another on the same card.

And with Ladbrokes, you will have access to the latest boxing betting markets and promotions to help you maximize your winnings.
