Expect a stalemate as Cardiff travel to Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest and Cardiff both need victories if they are to remain in pursuit of QPR at the top of the Championship standings, but it is hard to see anything other than a draw from their clash at the City Ground.

It is 23/10 in the Championship betting that the points are shared and with Forest still to taste defeat at home this season, it is hard to see them losing.

Meanwhile, after a sticky mid-season spell, Cardiff have got their promotion hopes back on track as they are enjoying a seven-game unbeaten league run.

Forest will have a point to prove after their surprise loss at Scunthorpe and are 11/10 to land the spoils, while Cardiff are 5/2 to win for the first time in four meetings between the pair.

Another fixture featuring two of the promotion pushing clubs takes place at Elland Road as Leeds prepare to host third-placed Norwich.

Leeds will know the importance of winning their home games if they want to finish in the automatic promotion places and are 6/5 to beat Norwich.

Norwich’s betting odds are 23/10 to beat Leeds, although the away side have only won two of the last 18 meetings between the pair and none of the latest six.

However, perhaps the best Championship betting opportunity is the 1/1 offered that Portsmouth win at home to Barnsley.

Only Crystal Palace have conceded more goals in the division on their travels this season than Barnsley and they have lost nine of their 12 away games.

Portsmouth are also due a home victory after failing to win in their last seven games, having previously won four on the bounce.

They also have two quality strikers in David Nugent and Dave Kitson and the pair are both priced at 5/1 to open the scoring against Barnsley.

A £25 stake on Portsmouth beating Barnsley 3-1 would return £350. New customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
