Gordon Strachan favourite to take over at Leeds

Published:

Former Scotland boss Gordon Strachan is the early favourite to replace Thomas Christiansen at Leeds United, according to our odds.

Christensen was dismissed following the 4-1 defeat at home to Cardiff City on Saturday.

Strachan is 5/2 to take over at Elland Road. He was part of the title-winning side of 1991-92 and made 235 appearances for the club during his playing career.

Simon Grayson isn’t far behind at 5/1 to return for a second spell in charge.

Paul Heckingbotton is third-favourite at 6/1, with Steve McClaren and Marco Silva both 8/1 shots.

Leeds are currently 10th in the Championship, seven points behind the play-off places. They face Sheffield United next in Saturday’s early kick-off.
