Wales v Denmark Tips: Danes to edge a tight Nations League clash?
The battle for top spot in Group A4 concludes in the Nations League tonight, as Wales host Denmark at Cardiff City Stadium.
Tonight’s winner will top the group and bag a play-off spot for Euro 2020 should they fail to qualify via the normal route.
Age Hareide’s side breezed to a 2-0 win in the reverse fixture. Can they repeat the feat on their travels, or will Wales build on their recent win at Republic of Ireland and grab a result?
The pair’s head-to-head record is very even, with three wins apiece in the last six meetings. The one constant has been that they’re pretty tight and cagey affairs.
Just one of the last seven meetings has seen both sides register, and it’s 7/10 for Both Teams to Score – No.
Denmark are in the better form of the pair right now, and have kept three clean sheets on the spin. It’s 8/5 for a Danish win, with Wales 19/10 and the same price on the Draw.
Meanwhile, the visitors are 10/1 to bag a third 2-0 win in four games.
The Danes tend to be a 4-2-3-1 side, especially on their travels. Kasper Dolberg will probably lead the line, with Christian Eriksen sat behind him in the advanced midfield three.
Wales have switched things about a bit under Ryan Giggs, but went with three at the back for their last home game. They have Gareth Bale back for this one, so he’s likely to start up top, with Aaron Ramsey and David Brooks behind him.
Wales’ best shot of a goal lies with Bale, who is 13/8 to get on the scoresheet. Meanwhile, Dolberg at 23/10 will be looking to replicate his good form for club side Ajax.
Eriksen scored both goals in the last meeting, and has broken the deadlock in two of Denmark’s last seven matches. He’s 13/5 to Score Anytime, and 13/2 to be First Goalscorer.
