Wales’ exhausting schedule temporarily comes to an end on Tuesday night when they face Netherlands for the second time in six days as 17/2 underdogs.
Rob Page’s men have had to combine the conclusion of a successful World Cup qualifying campaign with four Nations League matches and with just one point from three games in the latter they are in danger of being relegated ahead of the trip to Rotterdam.
The Dragons suffered a gut-wrenching stoppage-time defeat when the teams met in Cardiff, but will they have more luck this time? Let’s look at some of the talking points to help with our Netherlands v Wales betting tips.
Netherlands v Wales form
Wales head to Holland buoyed by Saturday’s deserved 1-1 draw with Belgium, the world’s second-ranked team, and they are 4/1 to pick up another point on Tuesday.

Even with weaker starting XIs, Wales took the lead in Poland only to concede twice in the final 18 minutes and then fell victim to Wout Weghorst’s stoppage-time header in another 2-1 defeat against Holland seven days later.
Wales may be buoyed by getting their first point on the board, but Page has several injury problems and it remains to be seen whether the likes of Bale and Ramsey will start.
In-form Netherlands are on a 12-match unbeaten run in Louis van Gaal’s third spell in charge of the national team, although they had to fight back from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw with Poland on Saturday, a result which ended their perfect start to their Nations League campaign, although Memphis Depay missed the chance to win it with a late penalty.
They began the group stage with a stunning 4-1 win in Belgium followed by a 2-1 win in Wales which extended their record of scoring and conceding to five matches. Holland can be backed at 2/1 to win that way once again.

Van Gaal also fielded an inexperienced side in the Welsh capital and could do so again having started with a number of key players for the clash with Poland, including Depay, Frenkie de Jong and Steven Bergwijn.

The Dutch have won all nine encounters with Wales since their first 24 years ago and they are 1/3 favourites to make it a perfect 10.

The Dutch have won by at least two goals in the last four home matches against the Welsh and are 20/23 to win that way again.
However, Wales have been level at the break in all three Nations League matches which is 27/20 and each of those games were goalless, available at 2/1.

Page was already without Kieffer Moore, but Joe Allen (hamstring), Joe Morrell (broken toe), Neco Williams (unfit) and Danny Ward (knee) have been added to the injury list, and Rhys Norrington-Davies is suspended.

Ben Davies and Connor Roberts also came off against Belgium through fatigue, and may get a breather at the Stadion Feijenoord, as may skipper Bale and Ramsey.
Van Gaal is unlikely to make wholesale changes, so Depay is likely to lead the attack with Bergwijn in a 3-5-2 formation.
Matthijs de Ligt could return to the heart of defence, with Nathan Ake possibly making way.
Goalscorer odds
Depay is the clear 14/5 favourite to get the ball rolling and is 19/20 to score any time, while Bergwijn is 11/2 and 2/1, the same odds as Steven Berghuis.
Wing-back Denzel Dumfries scored Saturday’s equaliser against the Poles to make it five goals in 34 appearances and is 11/2 to add to his tally or 16/1 to break the deadlock.
Davy Klaasen got the Dutch back into the game in the second half and is 17/2 and 3/1 in the two options, with PSV winger Cody Gakpo 11/2 and 21/10.
Bale is the 11/2 favourite from the Wales contingent to score the game’s first goal and 2/1 to find the net any time.
Brennan Johnson is likely to be on the bench again and is 7/2 to score once more, while Ramsey, whose sublime skill set up the equaliser, is 12/1 and 4/1 in the two markets.
