Brighton v Manchester United Betting Tips: United to close in on top four?

Published:
Brighton & Hove Albion odds

A rejuvenated Brighton host an in-form Manchester United in the Premier League as the Red Devils aim to keep their Champions League hopes on track at the AMEX Stadium on Tuesday night.

United will look to keep pace with Chelsea and Wolves as the race for a Champions League place heats up.

Brighton remain unbeaten since the Premier League resumed, recording victory against Arsenal and a goalless draw against Leicester.

United are six games unbeaten, however, and restarted with a draw at Tottenham and three points over Sheffield United last week. Will either of these sides maintain their unbeaten run?

The action gets underway at 8:15pm on Sky Sports and we’ve got all the pre-match odds and info below…

Match Odds

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side go into the match as firm 4/7 favourites when they travel to Brighton (11/2) who have won only one of their last six games.

United kick-off in sixth but can move up to fifth ahead of Wolves with a win, two points behind fourth placed Chelsea having played a game more. A draw is priced at 27/10 should Brighton give United a difficult night at the AMEX.

The Seagulls have a tough run-in until the end of the season and will be keen to keep their momentum going and build on their six-point advantage over the bottom three. Both teams to score is 11/10 with over 2.5 goals 21/20.

Talking tactics

It’s a reasonably clean bill of health for the home side who have made a promising start to life after lockdown.

Adam Webster is a doubt with a hamstring problem that should mean Shane Duffy will start in defence. Jose Izquierdo (knee) remains sidelined for the hosts.

United have no fresh injury concerns ahead of their trip to the south coast. Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe’s are their only notable absences.

Solskjaer rested most of his stars from the start of United’s FA Cup clash with Norwich, meaning Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford will be relatively fresh despite making appearances from the bench.

Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba are beginning to prove their capabilities as a partnership and will be a threat going forward if they both start in midfield.

Goalscorer Odds

Martial was the hat-trick hero for United in their last Premier League outing against Sheffield United. He he is 13/10 to score anytime and 40/1 to repeat his hat-trick heroics.

Joint top-scorer Rashford is 10/3 to score first with Bruno Fernandes 5/1 on the same market.

For Brighton, Neal Maupay carries their main goal threat and is 3/1 to score anytime. Lewis Dunk scored in the reverse fixture earlier in the season and he is 9/1 to score anytime.
