Norwich v Leeds betting tips: Halloween horror for Canaries?
Published:Norwich v Leeds betting tips and odds
Tottenham’s clash with Manchester United takes centre stage this weekend but there is also an important match in the lower reaches as Norwich face Leeds on Halloween.
The teams have just one win between them after nine games but the Whites are 11/10 favourites to win Sunday’s game at Carrow Road.
The Canaries have taken only two points and scored just twice this season but a win could lift them off the bottom of the table, so let’s examine their prospects in our Norwich v Leeds betting tips.
Match Odds
City stormed to the Championship title last season but Watford and play-off winners Brentford have proved more adept in the top flight even though the Hornets parted company with Xisco Munoz earlier this month and replaced him with Claudio Ranieri.
Norwich must banish the memory of their 7-0 drubbing at Chelsea last weekend which was the seventh time they had failed to score this season.
With their expected goals totals in attack and defence the worst in the division, they certainly belong in the basement as things stand.
Daniel Farke’s side are 11/5 to fire blanks for a fifth successive game while a goalless draw can be backed at 12/1, which was the case against Brighton and Burnley that preceded the Stamford Bridge massacre.

Leeds have hardly been prolific, with only Norwich and Burnley netting fewer than their eight goals so the temptation is to lean towards a low-scoring affair.
Under 2.5 goals can be backed at 21/20 while at least one team not to score is 5/4 in our Norwich v Leeds betting tips which has paid out in nine of the Canaries’ 11 games in all competitions.
That said, a win is essential for these sides and an open game is expected as they look to pull away from the drop zone, so both teams to score, over 2.5 goals in the match and either team to win is 11/8.
Talking Tactics
Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa made just four changes for the Carabao Cup defeat at Arsenal on Tuesday.
But he was still without striker Patrick Bamford, who has missed the last four Premier League games because of an ankle injury, so Rodrigo is expected to lead the line once again.
Raphinha was on crutches after a crunching challenge from Wolves defender Romain Saiss in last weekend’s 1-1 draw at Elland Road but is expected to be fit.

Norwich defender Ben Gibson is suspended after being sent off at Chelsea, which is a big blow for Farke, but Billy Gilmour is in contention to return after being ineligible against his parent club.
Goalscorer Odds
Teemu Pukki has scored both of Norwich’s goals and is 4/1 favourite to get the ball rolling and 6/4 to find the net any time.
Midfielder Mathias Normann takes 2.2 shots per game, the highest of all City players, and is 18/1 and 13/2 in the two options.
Rodrigo is the favourite of Leeds’ potential starters to break the deadlock at 5/1 or 9/5 to score but 6/1 and 9/2 on Raphinha looks an interesting prospect if the Brazilian winger is passed fit.
Dan James and Jack Harrison are 13/5 and 11/4 in the anytime markets for Sunday’s Norwich v Leeds betting tips.
