Which sports event are you most looking forward to?

| 04.06.2020

More and more sporting events are returning to our screens over the next few weeks and months, but which one are you most looking forward to?

The Premier League will return on the 17th June, with the Champions League set to be concluded this summer too.  Formula One has also confirmed it’s comeback on July 5th at the Austrian Grand Prix.

With Royal Ascot set to go ahead behind closed doors from June 16th to June 20th, there’s plenty of elite sport to look forward to!

Football – Premier League – June 17th

We’ve still got nine gameweeks to play in the Premier League, which is scheduled to restart on Wednesday June 17th with two matches, followed by a full round of games on the weekend of June 20th.

At 1/1000 Liverpool are homing in on their first league title since 1990, but the fight for fourth and the battle to avoid relegation could go to the wire.

Football – Champions League – TBC

The finer details have still to be decided, but UEFA remain confident that we’ll complete this season’s Champions League before September.

We’re currently midway through the round of 16, with Barcelona, Paris Saint-German and Man City among the teams still fighting for Europe’s biggest club prize.

Racing – Royal Ascot – June 16th

While there may be no fans at the course, we’re still buzzing for a week of top-line racing from Berkshire, featuring some of the best in the industry.

We’ll have 36 rip-roaring races over the five days.

Formula One – Austrian Grand Prix – July 5th

It remains to be seen how many Formula One races we’ll have in 2020, but for now we’ve got eight confirmed, starting with the Austrian Grand Prix early next month.

Can Lewis Hamilton win his seventh world title? Will Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc continue their rise to stardom? We’ll find out soon!

So, which one are you most looking forward to? Let us know on Twitter @Ladbrokes!

Richard loves his sport, especially if it involves the sound of tyres screaming around a race track. He's not fussy though and his '90s Premier League nostalgia and knowledge of team nicknames is tough to match.
