We’ve covered England previously, as well as both France and Scotland, so now Ladbrokes takes you through Germany’s Euro 2024 squad, their chances of winning the tournament this summer, and what we expect their starting line-up to look like next month.

England might be the favourites for Euro 2024 at 3/1, but tournament hosts Germany aren’t far behind at 9/2, ahead of the likes of Spain (7/1), and even Portugal (8/1).

Germany have some of truly exciting attacking talent on its roster, including the likes of Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz, who have lit up the Bundesliga this year with some incredible performances for Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen this season, form they’ll be hoping to take into Germany’s Euro 2024 campaign.

Ladbrokes takes you through their 26-man squad for France at Euro 2024, as well as a suggestion for their starting XI.

Germany’s Euro 2024 squad

Below we give the 26-man squad that Julian Nagelsmann has selected as he attempts to bring the Euros back to Berlin, with Alex Nubel dropping out from the original provisional camp.

  • Goalkeepers - Manuel Neuer, Marc-Andre ter Stegan, Oliver Baumann
  • Defenders - Waldemar Anton, Robin Koch, Maximilian Mittelstadt, Joshua Kimmich, Antonio Rudiger, Jonathan Tah, Nico Schlotterbeck, David Raum, Benjamin Hendrichs
  • Midfielders - Robert Andrich, Toni Kroos, Ilkay Gundogan, Aleksander Pavlovic, Pascal Groß, Jamal Musiala, Florian Wirtz, Chris Fuhrich
  • Attackers - Leroy Sane, Maximilian Beier, Deniz Undav, Kai Havertz, Thomas Muller, Niclas Fullkrug

Nagelsmann's selections raised a few eyebrows, with Leon Goretzeka, Emre Can, Julian Brandt, Timo Werner and Mats Hummels all missing out, despite many feeling that they'd be shoe-ins to represent their country at the tournament this summer.

Germany’s Euro 2024 starting XI

Now we’ve gone through what the 26-man squad to look like, Ladbrokes presents the starting XI that Nagelsmann should view as his favoured ahead of Euro 2024.

Germany are stacked in the attacking positions, with Havertz, Musiala, Sane, Fullkrug, Muller and Wirtz fighting it out for four starting places, the Germans are going to have some top players sitting on the bench during their Euro 2024, but below is the starting line-up we think they should take into the tournament as their preferred one.

We have Neuer in goal over Ten Stegan, with Kimmich at right-back rather than in midfield, with Kroos and Gundogan taking up the two pivot positions.

It’s Musiala, Wirtz, Sane and Havertz as our front four here, with Muller, Brandt, Beier, Undav and Fullkrug waiting to come on off the bench.

Germany’s Euro 2024 odds

England are 3/1 to win Euro 2024 as the favourites, but Germany aren’t far behind at 9/2 as the third-favourites according to the bookies, also just behind France at 10/3.

With the tournament taking place on their home patch, many pundits and fans feel as if Germany might end up going all the way, with the Germans also having representation from both Bayern Munich and Dortmund in the Champions League semi-finals.

Germany's Euro 2024 fixtures

Germany kick off the tournament against Scotland in June 14 in what is not only their first game, but the first fixture of the entire Euro 2024. They play Hungary five days later in their second game on June 19, with the final game of Group A seeing them face Switzerland on June 23.

Prior to their first game against Scotland, Germany play warm-up friendlies against Ukraine on June 3 and Greece four days later on June 7.

Ladbrokes recently looked at the betting odds for each of the countries competing in Euro 2024, starting with England at 3/1 and working our way down to Georgia, who the bookies have priced at 500/1.
